EVENT OUTLINE

Rescuing the Dogs of Asia!

To help those in need is to bring hope. Rescuing the Dogs of Asia! is an event that sheds light on the neglect and often torturous conditions of the many dogs who live in China, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, North and South Korea.

Search and Rescue:

High profile speakers include Marc Ching, Founder of Animal Hope and Wellness Foundation (Los Angeles, USA), Andrew Plumbly, Campaign Manager of Humane Society International/Canada (Montreal, QC) and Shelley Craig, Founder of Victory for Animals (Brighton, ON) will explore the challenges of rescuing dogs from Asia as well as share their successes in rescuing these animals for adoption.  As well, Camille Labchuk, one of Canada's leading animal rights lawyers will be discussing how each of us can play a role in improving the laws protecting animals in Canada and abroad.

Rescues at Home:

Rescuing these dogs is a pleasure reserved for heroes. Yvonne Ferguson is a Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KSA, CTDI) with the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers.  She is the owner, lead trainer and behaviour consultant of Quinte Canine and will be providing us with practical tips on the rescue personality as well as offer advice on how to work with behavioural issues related to these special dogs.

Please come and join for an event that covers the difficult topic of dog treatment in Asia. We will hear from the finest speakers from the most established dog rescue NFP groups that bring the spotlight to the most vulnerable and loyal group that need your help.
